Malin began riding at six-year-old. She was a very successful Junior and Young Rider winning European Championship Team Silver (1994) and Individual Bronze (1995) at Young Rider level. Since then she has competed in nine FEI World Cup Finals, four Senior European Championships, four World Championships and three Olympic Games.

She and horse Butterfly Flip were named the FEI Best Horse and Rider Combination in Jumping for 2003. Her hero is Britain's John Whitaker.
