Judy-Ann grew up on her father's breeding farm for jumping horses, the famous Zangersheide Stud. She began riding competitively aged nine and was a very successful Young Rider, winning a European Individual Bronze medal and Team Silver in Villamora in 2004. Still in her early twenties, Judy-Ann was selected to represent Belgium in the senior teams, performing well on every occasion. Judy-Ann and her partner, Zangersheide stable jockey Christian Ahlmann welcomed a son in 2012.

Since the birth of her first child, she has been back on top form in Nations Cup teams and winning 5* Grand Prix. Judy-Ann's highest LGCT Grand Prix placing to date in Arezzo in 2008 where she finished 2nd to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Shutterfly.
