Spectators to the Longines Global Champions Tour of Berlin will be treated to a world-class display of horsepower, as many of the biggest names in show jumping head to the new calendar destination ahead of this weekend’s event.

Local fans will be able to see Christian Ahlmann’s (GER) Codex One at the Sommergarten - which makes its debut as a powerful addition to the world’s premier show jumping series. He’ll be joined by another of Ahlmann’s stallions, the eye-catching grey Colorit, with the popular rider looking for a strong result in his home capital city. World Number 1 Kent Farrington (USA) will compete with the small but mighty Creedance, and top French rider Simon Delestre (FRA) will also be bringing out the big guns, as Hermes Ryan will once again compete on the Tour - the fiery chestnut gelding hugely successful and well suited to the smaller sand arena.

Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) will bring top stallion Halifax van het Kluizebos, as will Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) who will compete with VDL Groep Verdi. Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani will bring out heavyweight pairing of First Devision and Carolina 31, while Scott Brash (GBR) will ride Hello Forever and Hello Annie. The popular grey Carlo 273 will return to Tour with Sergio Alvarez Moya, and Eric Lamaze will take to the Berlin arena with Chacco Kid. Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) brings a formidable pairing of Chilli Willi and H&M Zilverstar T, while brother Olivier will compete with the podium winning H&M Legend of Love.

The first CSI5* kicks off at 13:55 local time on Friday, with all the action streamed live via GCT TV. For the full rider list, please click here
