Hamburg, Germany’s biggest port city and its ‘gateway to the world’ will host another stunning round of action on the Longines Global Champions Tour from 24th - 28th May. Hamburg is a hugely popular venue which attracts tens of thousands of people to its vast show ground due to the world-class show jumping on offer.

At the Derby-Park Klein Flottbeck, families can enjoy picnics in the countryside setting where the German Jumping and Dressage Derby has been held for decades. Or visitors can take a trip into the city to enjoy a whole host of activities from sight-seeing to fine dining, music to museums. The first of two events hosted by the passionate horse country, Hamburg will also be the final competition for the famous 19 year old stallion Casall ASK - the horse with whom reigning Champion of Champions Rolf-Goran Bengtsson found so much success with. In a goodbye ceremony, Casall will be retired from the sport, in the city where he now is stabled, and history will be made as this remarkable horse steps down from Grand Prix competition.

2016 witnessed home hero and legend of the sport Ludger Beerbaum (GER) ride a stunning Grand Prix win to claim the gold in front of ecstatic crowds, and with the level of competition and excitement building year on year, the fifth stop on the 12th season of the LGCT will be a thriller!
