In its 18th year, International Concours Valkenswaard will be held August 12-14th, realising the 8th leg of the Global Champions Tour for 2011.  Considered by most, Valkenswaard is the ‘home grounds’ of the Global Champions Tour, due to the site location at the private estate of GCT creator Jan Tops.

The distinctive natural environment with hand manicured turfed arenas amid a rural environment offers riders and spectators a perfect setting to meet friends and enjoy the best in show jumping.  Highlights of the show are the VDL Groep Grand Prix, eighth leg of the Global Champions Tour, on Saturday August 13th. The Derby will create again a spectacular finish on Sunday August 14th.

Global Champions Tour has created here a relaxed ambiance widely known for its close proximity to all arenas, lounges and bars, and trade area known as the ‘Place du Concours’. The venue boasts sassy relaxation areas and the ‘Top Gun’ bar where the night time ‘DJ’ can be enjoyed by all. Both entrance to the showground and parking is free of charge. Taste the privileged life and discover a world of culinary delights in the stylish VIP lounge, surrounded by a welcoming and impressive equestrian ambience from the terraced marquee. On Saturday evening after the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix there is a glittering gala themed party for riders and sponsors. Stal Tops indoor arena is transformed into an amazing decorative scene, inciting a colourful evening affair.

The Valkenswaard Horse Festival commences the prior weekend 5-7th August and continues with a full program of show jumping over the entire two weeks running simultaneously with the International Concours Valkenswaard. The Horse Festival contains four competitions each day for international riders (including 6 and 7 year old Young Horses) and three competitions for special invitational riders.
