Season 2011

  • Chantilly
  • 22-24 July 2011

Since 2000 the “Jumping de Chantilly”, under Gerard Manzinali’s presidency, has perpetuated the magic of the site offering riders and spectators the most beautiful décor for an equestrian competition.

What better setting could be dreamt of for an International Jumping: on Europe’s oldest racecourse, a double grass ring that respects the traditions of the sport and where aestheticism is an essential and constant aspect.

A magical setting, where riders and horses parade in front of the Prince de Condé’s magnificent stables and the prestigious Chateau de Chantilly.

In 2010, Chantilly’s team (made up of some 40 volunteers) celebrated its 10th anniversary of passion dedicated to the jumping.

Chantilly Jumping is a cross between competence, passion, involvement and respect, all serving the equestrian competition.

What better gift could we hope for our 10th anniversary than to be integrated into the prestigious circuit of the Global Champions Tour.

After having climbed steadily year after year Chantilly has now reached the top of the bill!

After a successful first event in 2010, this is the second consecutive year Chantilly hosts the Global Champions Tour, placed under the sign of metamorphosis: a resized ground and designed to greet the world’s best riders, their mounts and the spectators in utmost conditions.

10 years on, Chantilly Jumping is entering a new era.

A few figures to illustrate this new dimension of the Chantilly stage;

Over 170 riders

400 horses

25 nations represented

4000 seats in the stands

2200m² VIP space

A historic arena: the amphitheater

A 15000m² grand arena in front of the Prince de Condé’s stables

Over 60 exhibitors

Over 20 000 spectators over 3 days (7000 of which on Saturday)

Over 12h 30 hours of national and international TV broadcasting

Over 7h 40 of web broadcast

Over 60 000 hits on the competition’s web site

This first Global Champions Tour in 2010 was widely acclaimed by all the riders, spectators and professionals. Our greatest reward was the pleasure had by the numerous public and the riders and the professionals who all appreciated Chantilly’s new competition outfit.

Nevertheless an important point must be made in the history and the progression of Chantilly Jumping: the implication of our numerous partners in the past and who still sustain us to this day. Without them we could not offer you such a competition and a show up to your expectations.

The town of Chantilly is continuing to improve its showcase dedicated to the Horse; The Jumping de Chantilly will do its all to perpetuate our ambition: combining fair play, conviviality and modern competition to the magic and beauty of a historical setting

Meet you all from 22nd to 24th of July in Chantilly for the 7th leg of the Global Champions Tour.
