Biography

American born Meredith needs little intorduction in showjumping. After marrying Markus Beerbaum and deciding to ride for his homeland of Germany, where she was now based, Meredith aquired a quirky bay horse called Shutterfly and the rest as they say is history.

Winner of three World Cups and an individual European Championship in 2007, the legendary horse's temper possibly got the better of him in the individual Final at the 2006 World Championships where the swopping of riders and saddles appeared to drive him to distraction but the pair still finished third.

In 2009 the pair were second in the GCT Grand Prix of Holland and where meredith appeared a little distracted. It subsequently transpired she was expecting her first baby, who was born in Febuary  which kept her out of the 2009 GCT Final and was not quite soon enough for Meredith to defend her World Cup crown. However  once back in the saddle she has  won classes at Mannheim and the Grand Prix in Hagen on Checkmate.  

The 2010 GCT season Merdith won the Estoril round with Checkmate and placed 4th in Monaco with Shutterfly.

Now in 2011 merdith is attempting to be the first rider to win 1 miklion euors in prize money since the incpetion of the GCT sries in 2006. Her stalwart  Grand Prix champion Shutterfly will compete in 2011 as his last season of competition before retirement.
