Biography

Winner of the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Monaco for the last two years, Richard Spooner is a force to be reckoned with in any arena. He was also placed in Rio. More recently Richard's brilliant but wayward horse Cristallo  won the last round of the 2010 World Cup Final with the only double clear, they were also well placed overall.  Then they repeated the double clear in the opening Nations Cup of 2010 at La Baule, France where the USA finished second. At the same meeting Richard also won the La Baule Derby with Pako who has also been successful in GCT speed classes in 2009 and 2010 to show his versatility.

Richard relies on wife Kaylen to do most of the schooling on Cristallo, because "she gets on better with him than I do!"  Richard has won over 100 GP's in his career and is nicknamed The Master of Faster for his excellence against the clock.

In 2011 Richard has competed at the GCT Valencia event placing 14th.
