Small Tour 1.35m - table A with jump-off

Speed king Thomas Weinberg (GER) replicated his win of yesterday with Dorian Red 2 in the Small Tour. Weinberg was able to round up American rider Cara Raether & Hopes are High Z ‘s time of 38.28 as he came home in 38.19 seconds.

Although defeated by a fraction of a second Cara was still pleased with her horse. (below)

“Heading into the jump-off I knew that Edwina had done 7 down the last line and this was the question for me as I entered the course. I did a tight turn onto the 2 verticals and it paid off.”
“I have had this horse for about 18 months having purchased him from Dutch rider Ruben Romps who rode him in Young Rider classes in Europe. He has worked very well for me and is the speedster of my team. Last summer I came to Europe and competed for the USA with him. He is a naturally fast horse and very good in those situations.”
Cara is at the end of her summer tour in Europe and heads home to Trelawny Farm located in Bedford, New York about 40 miles north-east of New York City.
“The Horse Festival and Concours International will be my last two events in Europe this summer before I head home for a few more events. I have been competing and training here with 7 horses at Johan Heinze’s place in Belgium since June.”
Edwina Alexander (AUS) was third with the Kannan bred gelding Quimono de la Roque that she has been bringing along for the past year stating, “I was happy with the 7 year old horse today. I could take a chance in the jump-off.”
