Special Invitational 1.10m – Table A against the clock

Australian rider Georgina Harvey’s early good efforts to win the 1.20m special invitational on her newly purchased horse Tresor (above) with a time of 60.28 was later pushed aside as Belgian Elisa Schepers came home nearly a second faster (61.03).

Georgina came to Europe to ride and train at Stal Tops about 8 weeks ago with the plan to ride at the Global Champions Tour events in Monaco, Chantilly and  here in Valkenswaard.  “This horse in particular has fitted very well and it feels like I have been riding him for quite some time” said Georgina. “The shows are also very, very nice as the organisers do their best to make it a good experience for all riders.”

Elisa Scheper’s win with the piebald mare Verona adds another trophy to her collection.

“I have had this horse since 2006 and she has already had a foal, yet not coloured,” said Elisa. “Last year I won in Roggel International with her in the invitational 1.15m.”

It is Elisa’s first time competing in Valkenswaard and she is enjoying the win. “I was given this horse as a birthday present from my husband, but he actually bought her to breed with. I won my first start with her but had to wait a year until she was back to competing. I now am waiting for an embryo from her by Arko III.”

Kelly Hermans, also from Belgium,(below) was third with Wilke a bay mare by No Limit in a time of 61.77 seconds.
