Small Tour – Table A against the clock

With 47 starters in the Small Tour it was not going to be an easy feat to be triumphant.

“The Drossel Klang bred horses are very intelligent,” said a confident Weinberg. “He knows his job and if there is not a rider error you can always catch the time in a class. He is a super speed horse, very competitive and naturally unbelievably fast.”

The Weinberg’s sold the now 9 year old as a 7 year old and then purchased him back in partnership with sponsor Herman Tilke as an 8 year old. “He has developed really well since a 7 year old and competed with success as an 8 year old in the Aachen Young horse class,” Weinberg discusses his good performances.  “Also in 2010 he won in San Remo and in Linz.  Again in 2011 in Linz he won 3 classes and was in the top 3 placings in each class he was in at Arezzo, Italy.”

Dutch rider Albert Voorn placed second with Eurocommerce Lexington (above) in a time of 59.57 and Alexandra Thornton who has changed from riding for USA to Great Britain shores went to 3rd place (60.92 secs) with the Quick Star bred mare Noa de Bacon who is owned by Florence Couperie.(below)
