Release date: 05/08/2011 |

Friday 5th August

Medium Tour CSI2* 1.40m One round against the clock

Fresh off the lorrie and winner in the first Medium Tour class was Adiand the 11 year old, Ohio van de Paddenborre chestnut stallion, ridden by Belgium rider Constant van Paesschen. Constant, son of international rider Stanny kept the home fires burning with a good win.

(Below) Norwegian Marie Valdar Longem placed 2nd with Rusedski (Darco x Concorde).  “I have been riding this horse for a year now after purchasing him from a girl in Norway.  He has plenty of experience, as was Robert Whitaker’s speed horse. I have done up to 1.45m classes and used him for speed classes as he is very fast.  He has won a lot and placed almost every time for me.” She put in her best round but was rounded up by a Constant. “I went inside 2-3 and also fence 4 to 5 and the winner took ne further inside option and that is where I lost it.”

A happier memory to Valkenswaard today as Marie broke her pelvis at this same show last year. “Yes that was unfortunate but all is healed and I am back into riding. I finished high school last week and travelled down here with my trainer Geir Gulliksen.  I will continue to stay on at Stal Tops with my horses for 6 weeks with my team of horses and head to shows in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium.”

Irish rider Mark McAuley firmed up the 3rd place with Maddalena Valenzano Menada’s 8 year old ‘Par Trois’. (below)
