The Global Champions Tour venue set up commenced in Monaco directly after the Formula 1 racing departed Port Hercule at the end of May.
The main car parking area at Port Hercule is virtually being transformed into a spectacular Global Champions Tour venue back-dropped by the Prince’s Palace of Monaco and fore-fronted by the marina. Planning began long ago with new inceptions being developed in conjunction with prior year’s layout.

Above: The show jumping is set right along the Port. The spectator stand red seats backdrops the arena.

The project involves the construction of the infrastructure for the world’s best show jumping: the arena surface and surrounds, the stables, the tribune VIP areas, spectator stands, trade stands, offices and food zones.
This year the Global Champions Tour date in Monaco is directly the week before the Royal Wedding of Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock. As the GCT team gets into the swing of setting up the venue they are also surrounded by further ‘nuptual’ infrastructure being built around the principality.
There are actually several different areas in Monaco. The old town of Monaco-Ville surrounds the palace on the southwest side of the Monaco harbor.
To the west of Monaco-Ville is the new suburb, harbor, and marina of Fontvieille.
On the other side of the rock and around the harbor is La Condamine. The resort of Larvotto with its imported sandy beaches is on the east, and Monte Carlo is in the middle of it all.
The Global Champions Tour venue has the best address in town.

The first competitions begin on Thursday23rd at 13h00 with the feature international events being live streamed on this website at 18h20.
