Denis Lynch charity for Irish horses, supported by the Global Champions Tour, will also be present at the GCT venue in Hamburg this coming weekend. The world ranking number 9 at the moment has also commited himself from the beginning of this year to help the victims of the equine crisis in Ireland and the charity has collected over 200 thousand euros so far.
The donations will be directed to the ISPCA, who is currently looking into how to be able to set up a ”micro chipping” task force to attend as many horse fairs as possible before the winter. The aim is to target the donations at the moment to prevent the equine crisis from expanding in the tough winter months.
During his visit to the National Animal Center in Longford where the first cheque of 100 thousand euros was presented to the ISPCA – Denis visited both the horses and ponies himself and also met with the ISPCA chief executives.
”Once I became aware of this issue I wanted to do something right away. The international showjumping brings me into contact with a large group of very influencial people who are very involved with horses both through press and their contacts. I am trying to use this interest to raise funds for the ISPCA, who desperately needs more financial assistance.” says the champion showjumper originally from Tipperary himself.
Denis himself will be present at the Global Champions Tour in Hamburg and is hoping that as many people as possible will donate money to his charity and hoping as well to promote the charity in person together with the Global Champions Tour. Mr Jan Tops, the President of the GCT has provided a great platform for the charity to receive even more attention in the international equestrian world and the charity as well as horse wellfare are issues strongly supported by the tour.
Denis Lynch has commited to improve the circumstances for the irish horses that are suffering due to the economic crisis in Ireland since the beginning of this year and the charity of Denis is supported by the Global Champions tour. In every GCT show there will be a possibility to donate money for the cause and the information folders can be found at the GCT stand.
