The Global Champions Tour season turns to Portugal to the city of Estoril with the top international show jumping being held on July 1-2, 2011 and you can tune in on the designated website to watch the live streaming action, news and results.
The Global Champions Tour in Estoril sits mid field being the 6th of the 10 events held over the 2011 series and it will be interesting to see whether Australian Edwina Alexander can maintain her number 1 status on the GCT Ranking.

Above: Edwina Alexander riding Cevo Socrates in Monaco where they placed 2nd on the first day in the 1.45m. This was the very event that Edwina actualised the title of becoming the first GCT Millionaire from prize money that she had won from 2006 - 2011.
Edwina moved up to the top GCT Ranking position following the results of the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Monaco last weekend.
Winner of the Global Champions Tour of Portugal in 2010, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum(GER), has also made her way to Estoril. Meredith was unable to compete at The GCT in Cannes due to a back ailment.
Twenty-one countries will be represented at the GCT in Estoril. Portugal has nominated their home country group of riders including Luciana Diniz, who sits comfortably at number 5 on the GCT Ranking.
Luciana shares this 5th spot with Swedish rider Rolf-Goran Bengtsson who has won two of the first 5 GCT rounds (Germany and Monaco).
Luciana has had her best placings in Doha (4th) Cannes (7th) riding Lennox,(pictured above) and Monaco (8th) riding the big grey Winningmood.
Antonio Vozone, Joao Mota, Luis Sabino, and Marina Fortuoso de Melo join their leading rider Luciana in the program of events this weekend July 1-2.
