Hamburg in Germany is the next venue on the 2010 Global Champions Tour. The German city, which will also be hosting football's Europa Cup Final this week, is world famous for being the home of the Hamburg Jumping Derby, the first ever to be held and upon which all other Derby classes are based. The Global Champions Tour is proud to continue it's association with such a renowned event. The GCT Grand Prix will be Saturday's highlight and the Hamburg Derby Sunday's.
Among the riders expected are the worlds three leading ladies, Edwina Alexander, Jessica Kurten and Meredith Michaels Beerbaum. World number two Marcus Ehning will be present as will British number one Ben Mayer. There will also be competitors from Brazil, Qatar and the USA to make a truly international field.
This will also be the first show where the GCT welcomes it's new partner and official timekeeper, Jaeger LeCoultre. The Swiss manufacturer of exquisite time pieces will be joining the GCT for three shows initially, this being the first and this association is another of which the Global Champions Tour is justly proud and which will make Hamburg even more memorable.
