GCT Mobile Horse Vet Clinic
Welfare of the horses a top priority for the Global Champions Tour

With the welfare of the horses set as one of its top priorities, the Global Champions Tour has launched a new initiative with the goal of providing top class care facilities for the horses competing in this show jumping circuit.
Starting with the second leg of the 2011 Global Champions Tour that took place in Valencia (Spain) from 6th to 8th May, a unique mobile veterinary clinic has been made available to all participants of the Global Champions Tour.

The fully equipped truck featuring the most modern diagnostic and therapy machineries will be available on site to support any type of care practice needed by the horses competing in the event. The mobile facility, born from the idea of Italian veterinarian Alessandro Centinaio and realized thanks to the support of specialized companies such as Physiomed Elektromedizin from Germany and SOP will be travelling this year to every event of the Global Champions Tour.
The clinic will be open from the day before the start of competition and will operate around the clock.
Physiomed Elektromedizin is a leading producer of high-quality equipment for traditional and innovative physical therapy in rehabilitation, sport, aesthetic and veterinary medicine. SOP is a global hi-tech company that bases its activity on absolutely innovative nanotechnologies. SOP HORSE LINE is a new line of natural based products for horse’s health and welfare that meets horse’s needs from the stall to the feeding. SOP Horse line, a global solution for horse needs.

“I am extremely pleased that the Global Champions Tour decided to establish this partnership with us – commented Alessandro Centinaio who in the last 20+ years has acquired a vast experience in taking care of sport horses at top events around the world – This initiative has a great value for the sport horses’ community as it provides practically every type of service and tool that might be needed to treat competition horses. The idea is that the riders and their veterinarians will have access to the mobile unit for most care practices, including laboratory tests, x-rays, etc.”
Furthermore, as part of this program, centered on the welfare of horses, the Italian company Horse Ambulance will be providing a fully equipped horse ambulance to every Global Champions Tour’ event. “ This program enriches the value and the quality of the Global Champions Tour – says Jan Tops, the President of the Global Champions Tour – We have always taken in great consideration the welfare of the horses competing in our events. The services provided by the mobile clinic are a further step in the right direction. I am very pleased to welcome the initiative of Physiomed Elektromedizin and Sop in the organization of the Global Champions Tour.”
