Jan Tops about the Global Champions Tour

The Global Champions Tour is now in its fifth season in 2010 and the continuous development since 2006 has consolidated its position on the world show jumping scene. The trend of constant improvement has acted as a catalyst in the sport. This catalyst has accelerated the consequent response in the improvement of quality and level of prize money of all the other international shows in the world.

The trend continues this year with two new prestigious and unique venues, Turin, Italy and Chantilly, France. Both locations are unique, not only in their geographical location but also in their history and the dramatic backdrop each provides to these two new rounds of the GCT circuit.

I would like to extend a special thanks to all stakeholders, including sponsors, owners, spectators and fans for their support. The riders are happy and confident in the GCT and I also give special thanks to all riders for their commitment and loyalty. Finally, but by no means least, I would like to thank the show organisors who make the GCT possible in all its unique locations and wish them every success for the 2010 season.
